Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the APS website at aps.presentationtools.com. By browsing the site you agree to them. Purchases, subscriptions, licence activation and the detailed software licence terms are handled through PresentationTools.
About these terms
APS, short for Auto Presentation Switcher, is made by PresentationTools AS, a Norwegian company based in Oslo. These terms govern your use of our APS website at aps.presentationtools.com. By accessing or using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Using this website
You are welcome to browse APS pages, read our guides, download official resources, and link to our pages. In return, please do not:
- Use the site in any way that breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, hack, or gain unauthorised access to the site or the servers behind it.
- Scrape, copy, or republish substantial parts of the site for your own commercial use without our permission.
- Misrepresent unofficial downloads, templates, guides, or services as being provided or approved by PresentationTools.
We may change, suspend, or remove any part of the site at any time, and we cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free.
Intellectual property
The content on aps.presentationtools.com, including text, graphics, logos, videos, screenshots, downloads, templates, and the APS name and branding, belongs to PresentationTools AS or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may view our pages and link to them for personal or internal business use. Reusing our text, logos, screenshots, videos, or images elsewhere, or presenting our content as your own, is not allowed without our written permission.
The APS software
APS is desktop software for macOS and Windows that helps control presentation software, media, images, PDFs, webpages and related live-event workflows. The software is licensed, not sold. A trial mode is available so you can test the app before activating a paid licence.
When you install APS you accept its End-User Licence Agreement, shown during installation. In short: you may install and use the software under the terms of your licence, but you may not redistribute, resell, modify, or reverse-engineer it except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to do so.
Downloads and updates
Only download APS from official PresentationTools domains, including aps.presentationtools.com and presentationtools.com. Files from other websites may be unsafe, outdated, modified, or unauthorised.
APS installers and updates may be code-signed by PresentationTools AS. Removing, bypassing, or misrepresenting those protections, or distributing unofficial APS installers, is not allowed.
Licences, purchases and refunds
Buying an APS licence, managing a subscription, activating a licence, and any refunds are handled through our parent site, presentationtools.com, not directly on this APS website. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
The full purchase terms, including subscription renewal, licence handling and refund policy, are set out in the PresentationTools terms of use, which apply to your purchase.
Third-party links and services
The site links to websites and services we do not control, such as YouTube, Bitfocus Companion, social channels, payment providers, and documentation from third-party software vendors. We are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices, and a link does not mean we endorse everything you find there.
APS can also be used with third-party software and websites, including presentation applications, PDF viewers, browser-based tools, and local network control systems. Your use of those products and services is governed by their own terms.
Disclaimer and liability
The website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We work to keep the information accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, up to date, or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PresentationTools AS is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site, APS, or the law changes. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last revised, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, and any disputes relating to them or to your use of the site fall under the jurisdiction of the Norwegian courts.
